I love it when I get to do something fun and help a good cause at the same time! Thanks to the awesome River team who bowled with my husband Jeff and I yesterday to help raise money for the Kitchen. I've been blessed to have gotten to know some of the key people that run this amazing "campus" in Springfield, Kristie and Kippie, and am so glad that The River has been able to partner with this unbelievable organization.
With your help, these are some of the things the KItchen accomplishes in one year:
*Provide 765 adults and kids meals and shelter at the MIssouri Hotel
*Serve over 119,000 meals
*Provide 22,598 homes with food from their food pantry.
*Give 1,997 indviduals free healthcare totalling 8,447 visits
*Provide over 47,000 free prescriptions to families
If you are looking for a place to give back, I give the Kitchen a thumbs up. If there were any place that would leave a huge hole in our community if they were not here, it would be this organization.
