The Ozarks' Red Cross chapter is sending a team of six, called a Jump Team, to Orlando Tuesday to help with the relief efforts after Hurricane Irma.
Julie Stolting, who works for the Red Cross, says volunteers, like the ones she’ll be traveling with this week, make all the difference in times of disaster.
"These people are leaving their businesses they own or maybe they're retired. Some are even asking their work if they can have three weeks to go help with Hurricane Irma. Some going with me are business owners - and they're taking time from their business to help others," said Stolting.
Her jump team will do just that, jump from shelter to shelter and job to job – as needed.
