Man Critically Injured In Shooting On Roxbury Southwest Of Springfield

Greene County deputies are investigating a shooting just southwest of the Springfield city limits.

Authorities have set up a perimeter around a house in the 3700 block of west Roxbury near Farm Road 129 after a call came in around 3:30 a.m.

Sheriff's Corporal Cathy Ussery tells KTTS News at the scene that a 35 year old man inside that home was shot several times and has life threatening injuries.

A woman called 911 saying she heard several gunshots in the area.

Corporal Ussery says this isn't the first incident at this particular home recently.

She says authorities have been called to the house around 6 different times in the past 6 months for a variety of reasons.

The calls were for issues such as checking the well-being of a person to a domestic disturbance.

Police are looking for a suspect, but Ussery says it's an isolated incident and the public is not in danger.
