A man is dead after he fell into a manhole in Taney County.
Deputies say Paul Miltello was working on a water line in his home near the Highlands off Highway T. He went out to turn the water back on, fell into the manhole and hit his head on a valve.
The opening down to his water meter was about four-feet deep. Someone found him and called 911 Monday afternoon around 1:45 p.m.
The Taney County Sheriff says it appears it happened overnight because he had a flashlight with him.
The Coroner says Miltello died from head trauma.
He was 58.
