The Snow Has Moved Out, Now The Cold Temperatures Will Stick Around

The snow has moved out of the area but now the cold temperatures are sticking around.

The National Weather Service in Springfield says the heaviest snow has exited the area to the east but there’s still light to moderate snow across central Missouri which may bring another half inch to an inch and a few snow showers remaining south towards Springfield.

Later this evening, extremely cold temperatures are expected as we begin the week.

The overnight low temperatures will drop into the single digits to around zero with wind chills ranging from -5 to -15.

The coldest readings are expected Monday morning.

Another storm system will move through the area Thursday and again Saturday bringing gusty winds to portions of the area.
