A man from Carthage, who shot and killed his daughter’s ex-boyfriend, got 30 years in prison.
Prosecutors in Lawrence County say Robert Waite Jr. was charged with second-degree murder for killing Kevin Stafford in Mount Vernon.
A report from the Joplin Globe says Waite killed Stafford at his home.
Investigators say Stafford called police earlier in the day to report to report that his ex-girlfriend took his outdoor patio table and grill.
The girl and her mother returned the items, when Waite found out what happened he drove from Carthage to Mount Vernon and shot Stafford.
