Texas County authorities have identified the pilot who died in a small plane crash this morning near Summersville.
Robert Torp was from Springfield.
He was 64.
The sheriff tells KY3 Torp was the only one on board when the plane hit some trees.

One person has died in a plane crash in Texas County.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the single engine plane went down Wednesday morning near Summersville.
Patrol Sergeant Jeff Kinder confirmed the fatality to KY3.
There’s no word on whether others were on board or what caused the crash.
