A man who robbed a Phillips 66 gas station and pointed a gun towards Springfield Police will spend the rest of his life in prison.

The Greene County Prosecuting Attorney says Michael Hancock, who is 48, was sentenced to life in prison plus 31 years.

Hancock was sentenced for First Degree Robbery, Armed Criminal Action, Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, and Unlawful Use of a Weapon.

Hancock robbed a Phillips 66 gas station back in March of 2017. He also aimed a gun at police officers in a nearby hotel’s parking lot.

Hancock was shot by officers, but he survived.
