In a Twitter post, Missouri Senator Josh Hawley says he agrees with Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Lindsey Graham’s call to investigate the Department of Justice and FBI.
A Hawley spokeswoman says specifically, Chairman Graham said he wants “a new special counsel to explore whether the DOJ and FBI sought to stop President Trump in 2016.”
She says this is on track with Hawley’s letters to the FBI earlier this year, inquiring about their decisions to launch a counterintelligence investigation against the President of the United States.
And it’s time for oversight hearings. Under oath, in full public view. With subpoenas, if agencies continue to stonewall. This is a democracy and we’re going to keep it that way
