Douglas County Sheriff Says Public Helped With Catching Couple Involved In Thefts

The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office says it was the public’s help that stopped a couple from continuing to steal across the Ozarks.

The sheriff says he thinks people in his county were fed up with thieves and now more than ever, helped stop them in a short period of time.

The two were found in an abandoned home near AA highway, where they were said to be squatting.

Deputies say the string of thefts involving Kimberly Tucker and Brandon Murphy started March 15th.

Murphy is being held in Howell County where he has 13 warrants for his arrest and Tucker is currently in Douglas County lockup.
