St. Louis Cardinals Home Opener: Starting Lineups

After starting the 2019 season on the road, the St. Louis Cardinals are getting set for their home opener at Busch Stadium.

Clouds and temperatures in the mid 50’s greeted fans who arrived at the ballpark hours before the first pitch, scheduled for 3:15 p.m. Friday.

The St. Louis fans get to welcome new Cardinal first baseman Paul Goldschmidt, who hit four home runs in the opening week of the season, including three in one game against Milwaukee.

Lefty Jack Flaherty takes the mound for St. Louis.

Here are the starting lineups for the 2019 Busch Stadium opener:

San Diego Padres: 

1. Ian Kinsler–2nd base

2. Eric Hosmer–1st base

3. Manny Machado–3rd base

4. Franmil Reyes–right field

5. Wil Myers–left field

6. Franchy Cordero–center field

7. Fernando Tatis, Jr.–shortstop

8. Francisco Mejia–catcher

9. Nick Margevicius–pitcher

St. Louis Cardinals:

1. Matt Carpenter–third base

2. Paul Goldschmidt–first base

3. Paul DeJong–shortstop

4. Marcell Ozuna–left field

5. Yadier Molina–catcher

6. Dexter Fowler–right field

7. Harrison Bader–center field

8. Kolten Wong–second base

9. Jack Flaherty–pitcher
