A man from Montana has drowned on Truman Lake.
The Highway Patrol says Lane Panasuk went under at the Tebo Arm near Leesville. His body was recovered Thursday night.
Troopers say they don’t know why Panasuk was in the water.
The lake is about 32 feet above normal because of the recent heavy rain, and the high water has forced many campgrounds and boat ramps to close.
Panasuk, who was from Butte, Montana, was 57.
