The owners of some popular Springfield restaurants owe near 500-thousand dollars in unpaid taxes.

The Springfield Business Journal reports the Jalili family is dealing with federal tax liens on Black Sheep, Char Steakhouse and Oyster Bar, and Flame Steakhouse.

A personal tax lien has also been filed against Billy and Sara Jalili.

Public records show the majority of the liens are for unpaid employment and payroll taxes.

Billy Jalili says a payment plan is in place.
