Two small earthquakes shook southeast Missouri this morning right along the New Madrid fault line.

A 2.8 magnitude quake hit near Howardville in New Madrid County.

A second 2.8 magnitude quake hit near Lilbourn just a couple of miles away just a couple of minutes later.
