Springfield Police say a man wanted in connection with a deadly shooting near Brower and Grant has turned himself in.
18-year-old Timber R. Porter turned himself in to police Tuesday afternoon.
Police were looking for him after 19-year-old Dearies Hempstead from Springfield was shot and died at the hospital.
His attorney says the shooting was self-defense.

Springfield Police are looking for a man wanted for a deadly shooting Monday near Brower and Grant.
19-year-old Dearies Hempstead from Springfield was shot and died at the hospital.
Police are still looking for 18-year-old Timber R. Porter from Springfield.
Porter has red hair, brown eyes, weighs 180 pounds and is 6’4″ tall.
He’s considered armed and dangerous.
He was last seen in a silver 2005 Chevrolet with Missouri license plate MR7-N6B.
The vehicle has damage to rear passenger side quarter panel.
Springfield Police have not released a motive in the shooting.
