Freezing rain and drizzle during Mondays wintry weather will leave road hazards for drivers on Tuesday.

Black ice can be nearly invisible, but usually makes the roads look wet.

We spoke to meteorologist Meegan Terry from the National Weather Service about black ice.

“It looks shiny, so if it looks shiny like rain, but the temperatures are below freezing, that is black ice” Terry said.

Take your time while driving, and drive slow. Give yourself enough time to leave a little early in the morning, and remember black ice can still appear on major roadways.
