A pickup sliding on an icy road in Barry County has struck and killed a woman.
The Highway Patrol says Bonnie Hawser, 59, from Monett, was standing near another pickup that had been involved in a crash moments earlier, when she was hit by a driver who lost control on the ice on Highway C east of Purdy and ran off the road.
Hawser was pronounced dead at the scene.
