City Utilities says wind gusts knocked out power for about an hour on the northwest side of town.

The outage happened around 11:20 a.m.

The Springfield-Branson National Airport was in the dark for a while before the generators fully kicked in.

Airport spokesman Kent Boyd says two or three flights had to be diverted.

If you’re dealing with an outage, call CU 1-888-863-9001.

The National Weather Service says more ice is expected east of Highway 65 as the system continues to move out of the area.
