Winter Weather In The Ozarks: What You Can Expect

As winter weather is expected to move throughout the Ozarks, KTTS News talked to the National Weather Service about what you can expect today.

NWS Senior Meteorologist Doug Cramer says rain and possibly freezing rain is expected today.

“If temperatures can hang right around 32 and 33 we expect we won’t see any road impacts,” Cramer said.

Ice accumulation is ranging from one tenth to three tenths of an inch as the temperature teeters around 32-33 degrees.

Cramer says if the temperature stays around the 32-33 range, ice will have a hard time accumulating on the roads.

Cramer also says with the rainfall throughout the day and night, and lack of vegetation we have in the winter, flooding a definite possibility for low water crossings in the area.
