The Aviary Café in downtown Springfield is left with damage this morning after a SUV crashed into the side of the restaurant after a pursuit with Greene County authorities.
Greene County deputies attempted to stop the black Chevy Suburban for suspected DWI driving when deputies saw the SUV running red lights and fishtailing through an intersection.
Authorities began pursuing the vehicle but lost the car until they found it wedged between another car and the building.
The driver was taken into custody after a short foot pursuit.
The vehicle was confirmed stolen out of Arkansas and there were no injuries in this incident.
The suspect was taken to the Greene County Jail pending formal charges.
The SUV is totaled while a window of the business also sustained damages.
