Former Brookline Fire chief Larry McConnell gets ten years in prison for sexually abusing a teenage girl.

McConnell, 70, was sentenced in Greene County Court on Friday.

Prosecutors say the girl he assaulted was a volunteer with the fire department.

Prosecutors say McConnell resigned from his job as fire chief when he was charged but remains on the fire board.
