The Food and Drug Administration says a rapid diagnostic test for COVID-19 has been approved.
The test is made in California from company Cepheid.
The test can deliver results in less than an hour compared to 24 hours with the current testing methods.
However, testing isn’t likely to become all that much more available, as personal protective equipment is still in high demand.
