Missouri House Expected To Vote On State Budget Today

Lawmakers are expected to vote on a final approval for Missouri’s state budget today.

The state House of Representatives are expected to convene at 10 a.m. this morning.

The deadline to pass the budget is May 8.

The house voted to give the initial budget approval earlier this week. That proposal includes nearly $10 billion in general revenue, over $14 billion in federal funding and close to $10.5 billion in other funding.

The next fiscal year begins July 1.

Missouri lawmakers and staff members are being encouraged to wear face masks today and continue to practice social distancing guidelines.
