Taney County Warns Community of Risk of Transmission, Sees Second Death

The Taney County Health Department warns those in Theodosia and Protem of a potential vector of exposure to COVID-19.

On April 25th, the county’s latest case visited Cash Saver and ACE Hardware store in Theodosia.

On April 22, 23rd, 24th, and 27th, the patient visited the Pioneer Store in Protem.

Anyone who visited those locations on those days should monitor for symptoms.

Those include:

  • Cough
  • Shortness of breath
  • Fever
  • Chills
  • Repeated shaking with chills
  • Muscle pain
  • Sore throat
  • New loss of taste and smell

The Health Department also reports they have had their second death of COVID-19 in the county.

The victim was a woman in her 80’s with an underlying health condition.
