PHOTOS: Major Storm Damage Reported From Straight Line Winds In Lebanon, Mansfield, And Seymour

Severe thunderstorms with what the National Weather Service is calling straight line winds have done major damage in the eastern Ozarks.

We’ve had reports of roof damage to Tracker Marine in Lebanon.

Two trucks flipped over on I-44 between the 125.8 and 127.8 mile markers as the storm rolled through after 2 p.m.

We also had a report of two boats in the median in Lebanon.

A road sign was destroyed in the westbound lane of I-44, along with a shed in the westbound lane at the 126 mile marker.

Other buildings were destroyed on both sides of the highway.

We’ve had reports of major damage to an airplane hangar in Lebanon, with airplanes damaged.

The O-T-C building at the airport had severe roof damage.

Many power poles went down along Highway 5.

In Wright County, numerous trees are down and roofs blown off along Highway 5, Highway Y, Highway E and several county roads.

Norwood’s fire department says the roof at the town’s post office was blown off.

The roof is gone at Mansfield High School. A family in town reported two trees and a light pole uprooted in town.

In Seymour, a roof was ripped off a building on the east side of the square just after 1:30 p.m., landing on several cars. There are no injuries reported.

Thunderstorm winds have also resulted in power outages from Humansville to Osceola to just north of Buffalo, where power lines were down.

We had numerous reports of golf ball size hail as the afternoon round of storms moved across the Ozarks.
