Following protests yesterday in St. Louis and Kansas City, Governor Parson says he has put the National Guard on standby.
The Governor signed a State of Emergency declaration late Saturday due to “civil unrest.”
The Missouri Highway Patrol and National Guard stand ready to assist local authorities.
The Governor added he was saddened by the death of George Floyd, but also by “the acts of violence that have transpired across our nation and state.
