The Springfield-Greene County Health Department is notifying the public of a possible exposure from a worker who tested positive of COVID-19.
Health officials say the patient worked as a cashier at Signal Food Store on East Battlefield on May 30 from 2 p.m. until 12:15 a.m. (infections, didn’t show symptoms) and June 2 from 7:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m (infectious, symptomatic).
The health department believes the risk of transmission is very low because of the worker wore a face covering and a sneeze guard was placed between the individual and customers, but the department says anyone who was at the location should monitor for symptoms.
