Widespread rainfall amounts of one to three inches are expected to fall late Monday afternoon and through the night across parts of the Ozarks.
The National Weather Service says some locally heavier amounts of rain can be expected, leading to an elevated risk for flash flooding.
A flash flood watch is in effect from 1 p.m. Monday through Tuesday morning for all but our far western counties along the I-49 corridor.
These showers and thunderstorms will occur in response to the remnants of Tropical Storm Cristobal.
Forecasters say severe thunderstorms will be possible late Tuesday afternoon into early Tuesday night, but that is a conditional risk at this time.
