Springfield Police say Officer Mark Priebe is recovering after he was runover by an SUV outside police headquarters.

Surgery to stabilize his spine went well.

Priebe suffered multiple rib fractures and a spinal cord injury.

Police say he’s looking forward to going home to be with his family.

His wife Heather says she appreciates all the support.

“We are trying to wrap our head around why this person did it,” Ofc. Priebe’s wife said. “I appreciate the support. We have a long road ahead of us, but there is nothing we can’t conquer!
