Police in West Plains are investigating an accidental shooting at the Missouri Army National Guard Armory.
Investigators say Thursday afternoon, a Guard member was trying to unload his personally owned handgun when it went off, and bullet struck his leg.
Responders airlifted the man to the hospital.
His name has not been released.
