Branson Restaurant Closes After Taney County Suspects Possible COVID-19 Exposure

Branson Restaurant Tequila 2 closed down after Taney County health officials informed employees they believed they had been in close contact with a COVID-19 patient.

The health department says all employees who may have had contact with coronavirus patient should stay home.

Tequila 2 has voluntarily closed.

The health department says it is continuing to investigate the situation.

This story has been updated to include the information that Tequila 2 voluntarily closed in response to the information from the Taney County Health Department.

The Taney County Health Department (TCHD), in conjunction with the Stone County Health Department (SCHD), is investigating a possible COVID-19 outbreak at Tequila 2 on Gretna Road in Branson, MO.

TCHD thanks Tequila 2 for voluntarily and immediately closing after being alerted to the suspected outbreak and for their future cooperation as both health departments work to identify exposed individuals and possible dates of exposure for the public.

At this time, TCHD asks all Tequila 2 employees that suspect they have been in close contact with a suspected or confirmed COVID-19 case to quarantine at home and to refrain from leaving their home for any reason other than to receive medical care.

This investigation is ongoing; more information will be released as it becomes available.

TCHD would like to remind the public of the importance of seeking testing if they have the symptoms of COVID-19.
