A new retreat that aims to create a safe area for military and first responders has just opened in Hardenville.
Warriors 2US is a non-profit with 183 acres of space for a camp. It says it offers a place for people to learn a trade, have fellowship, and learn from others.
A representative of the retreat says “if you’ve taken an oath to protect American lives, this camp is for you.”
Guests can stay for up to a week for free. The retreat also offers classes on translating a military career to civilian life. It will also include relaxation opportunities, such as hiking and fishing.
Eventual plans include adding a gun range, ATV trails, and a chapel.
