Christian County Reports 14 New COVID-19 Cases; No Longer Notifying Low-Risk Exposures

Christian County is announcing 14 new COVID-19 cases.

To date, Christian County has a total of 148 cases, 133 confirmed and 15 probable.

The health department is currently monitoring 80 active cases.

The county has reported one COVID-19 related death.

The health department says with the increase in positive cases and the limited amount of staff to complete investigations, it will no long inform the public of low-risk exposures.

The health department staff will continue to investigate all positive cases and reach out directly to those individuals who have a known exposure.

Health officials say with the recent significant increase in positive cases, there is a potential for exposure at any public location.

The health department is urging all community members to wear a face mask while out in the public.
