A man and a woman have died after a crash on Highway 5, miles north of Ava Monday afternoon.
The Highway Patrol says Owen Dobbs and Rebecca Brandon, both from Ava, were traveling northbound when Dobbs tried to pass two vehicles and went off the roadway.
Troopers say the car went airborne and hit a tree.
A crash report from the Highway Patrol says neither person had a seatbelt on.
