School leaders in Nixa have set up various levels of a health and safety plan as they get set to welcome students back to class next month.
Their goal is to start the 2020-21 school year with a full-week schedule, referred to as the green level.
School activities will be as normal as possible, with social distancing used whenever possible. Masks will be required based on district procedures developed from the CDC and local health department.
Visitors to buildings will be restricted, and hand washing/sanitizer will be available and frequently encouraged.
As things change with the coronavirus, yellow and red level plans may be put into place, with some or all classes moving to online.
Parents still have the option to enroll their child in virtual learning, but must fill out a form by July 31st.
