A group says it’s started a petition to remove the mayor and board of aldermen in Branson after Tuesday’s vote to approve a mandatory masking ordinance.

An e-mail to KTTS News states the group has also hired an attorney to seek an injunction against the ordinance, which goes into effect Friday.

Those folks say more than 900 people in town told the board NO to masks, but were ignored.

They add the masking requirement will “kill Branson as we know it.”
