A protest outside of the Governor’s Mansion in Jefferson City ended with the use of pepper spray and eight arrests.
The protestors objected to a crime bill that the governor signed into law earlier this month.
Protestors lay in the street before police moved them to a sidewalk. Police informed protestors they would be arrested if they did not get out of the street.
Demonstrators said the law was too harsh on people and not harsh enough on crime.
