A police officer from Kansas City critically wounded in a shooting back in July has returned home.
The officer, who police have not identified, was shot while responding to a call of a man with a gun.
When police arrived on the scene, the suspect began shooting.
He was shot and killed.
The department says the officer will continue with rehabilitation in Kansas City now that he’s completed treatment at an out-of-state brain injury rehab facility.
KCPD says the officer is not paralyzed and is growing stronger every day.
