A 14-year-old boy is dead after a pickup crashed into a tree in Dade County.
The Highway Patrol says another boy, 13 years old, was behind the wheel Sunday afternoon on County Road 217 when the vehicle ran off the road and hit a tree.
The victim was riding in the bed of the pickup, and was thrown from the vehicle. He died at the scene.
The driver was not injured. The wreck happened eight miles north of Everton.
