Police in Branson say what started as an armed robbery in a wooded area off Animal Safari Road Thursday night ends with a man being shot with a crossbow.
The victim has minor injuries, and was treated and released from a local hospital.
Officers say two suspects tried to make off with a vehicle.
The police department says both men fled the scene prior to officers arriving.
The Taney County Sheriff’s Office and the Missouri State Highway Patrol helped Branson police set up a perimeter and search the area.
One suspect was arrested, and the second is still on the run.
Officers say everyone involved in the incident knew each other, and there’s no threat to the public.
