The polls have closed, and work is underway to count all the votes in Missouri.

Voter turnout was standing at about 68-percent in Greene County just before 6 p.m. Tuesday.

County Clerk Shane Schoeller says turnout could still reach the predicted 75-percent or more.

Lines were long throughout the day Tuesday, with the average wait around 45 minutes in Greene County.

But one of the four central polling places, JQH Arena in Springfield, did not have a line around 5:30 p.m. when most people were getting off work.

JQH is one of four central polling locations where any registered voter can cast a ballot.

The others are Cox South, Mercy, and the CU bus transit.
