The Least of These Christian County Food Pantry says it’s distributed over twice as much food from March to November this year as it did last year.
The increase is around 120%. From March to November of 2019, the pantry distributed 650,279 pounds of food. In 2020, that was 1,427,682 pounds.
Kristy Carter, the Executive Director for the food pantry, says she is alarmed by the number of people who have needed help this holiday season.
Least of These says it is committed to providing 600 children a Christmas gift this year as well.
