A citywide vote in August of 2021 will decide if a development planned for Galloway Village will move forward.
The Galloway Neighborhood Association has gathered enough signatures to put the issue back in front of the city. The City Council votes for the issue to be put to a special election in August.
Neighborhood Association President Melanie Bach says voters should care because it could be their neighborhood that faces this problem in the future.
Greene County Clerk Shane Schoeller says putting the issue to a vote will cost taxpayers around $153,000.
