Cold weather shelters are opening up as a cold weather front moves in this week.
Shelters are limited by CDC guidelines and are unable to accept as many people as they could in previous years. To help with the shortage of space, many churches are opening their buildings to help.
Brentwood Christian Church is one of those and will also be offering shelter for couples and for dogs. City Utilities has offered bus rides to shelters starting from the Veterans Coming Home Center on North Jefferson.
