The Missouri House is considering a bill that would make protection orders for crime victims permanent in certain situations.
A bill filed by Republican Representative Lane Roberts seeks to help victims of abuse, assault, and stalking by removing the necessity of facing their abusers in court every month.
As of right now, protection orders are only valid for one year at a time.
