The Ozarks will be dealing with extreme heat this weekend.
National Weather Service Meteorologist Doug Cramer says the heat index will be close to 100 degrees.
Friday is expected to be the hottest day of the year so far.
Isolated showers and storms are possible today and Thursday, however most locations will likely remain dry. Hot and humid conditions are expected to build in, especially by Friday, with heat index values around 100 F. #sgf #mowx #kswx #ozarkswx #midmowx pic.twitter.com/zUYpbLGzjZ
