Costco has been trying to sign people up for memberships ahead of the scheduled opening of its new store in Springfield on August 18.

Construction on the store near Chestnut Expressway and Eastgate is almost complete.

Construction crews are hard at work to finish the building by opening day.

Costco is also accepting applications for workers.

Costco offers four different memberships between $60 and $120 per year.

The store will be open 10 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, Saturday from 9:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

The store is scheduled to open August 18 at 8 a.m.
