Possible Tornadoes Reported Overnight

The National Weather Service has received reports of a possible tornado that touched down near Neosho and two more places.

Newton County emergency management is reporting building damage and large trees destroyed near Palm and Jaguar Roads.

It will be up to survey teams from the National Weather Service to confirm if it was a tornado that did the damage or straight line winds.

Storms developed late Sunday night in Oklahoma and reached the Ozarks just after midnight.

The National Weather Service says a tornado warning was issued for McDonald County around 12:25 a.m. after a debris signature was spotted on radar.

No damage has been reported.

A tornado warning was later issued at 1:16 a.m. for central Newton County.

Storm spotters reported debris and power outages south of Neosho.

There were no reports of any immediate injuries.

The same storm prompted severe thunderstorm warnings for parts of Jasper, McDonald and Newton counties.

A second round of storms rolled through the Ozarks just before 5 a.m.

The National Weather Service reported a tornado debris signature two miles northwest of Dudenville along the Barton and Jasper County line.

It was reported around 4:47 a.m. Monday.

The storm flipped a farm implement, destroyed a barn, and knocked down power lines and trees in the area.
