Two people are dead after a crash, including a teenager who went to Willard High School.
The Highway Patrol says 17-year-old Reese Johnson died when her car was hit by an SUV on Farm Road 105 north of Willard.
She was a senior in high school.
Troopers say 28-year-old Robert Hicks crossed the centerline and hit her car head-on.
Another person in his SUV was also hurt.
The Willard School District released a statement to families about Johnson’s death:
“It is with a heavy heart to inform you of the death of one of our senior students, Reese Johnson.
Johnson was in a multi-vehicle car accident early Sunday evening.
Willard High School will be providing grieving resources for our high school students throughout the day in the high school library.
Willard Schools is also working closely with external partners Burrell Behavioral Health should their services be needed.”
