Strong winds from the south appear to be pushing the smoke from prescribed burns in Arkansas into Missouri.
The Arkansas Forestry Commission says there’s an 875-acre fire in Newton County east of Jasper.
There’s also a 15-acre fire in Baxter County, northeast of Mountain Home.
KY3 says fire departments have been taking calls from people smelling smoke and noticing a haze in the air.
